Comparison
Calliente vs SyncGene
SyncGene synchronizes contacts, calendars and tasks between accounts — Google, iCloud, Microsoft 365, Exchange — mostly for individuals and small teams, and has been part of Cira Apps (the maker of CiraSync) since 2026. Calliente does a single job for companies: it puts the whole Microsoft 365 directory into the native contacts of every managed iPhone and Android, deployed by IT and kept up to date without user action.

The key difference
SyncGene is built to keep a person's accounts in step with each other: each user connects their sources and SyncGene copies changes between them. Calliente is built for IT: one admin consent, one Intune deployment, and every employee gets the up-to-date company directory in their native contacts, with no account to connect and no contacts stored on Calliente servers.
Calliente
Companies that want the Microsoft 365 directory on all managed phones, deployed and controlled by IT, with read-only delegated access and export protection.
SyncGene
Individuals and small teams who want their own contacts and calendars kept in sync between Google, iCloud and Outlook.
Calliente vs SyncGene FAQ
Can SyncGene put the company directory on every phone?+
SyncGene focuses on syncing the accounts each user connects; directory (GAL) sync is offered through its Enterprise plan. Calliente is designed for that case from the start: IT approves it once and deploys it to every managed phone.
Do users have to do anything with Calliente?+
No. After the admin consent and the Intune or Workspace ONE deployment, the directory appears in the phone's contacts and stays up to date automatically. With SyncGene, each user connects and maps their own accounts unless an Enterprise administrator sets them up.
Is SyncGene related to CiraSync?+
Yes. Cira Apps, the company behind CiraSync, announced the acquisition of SyncGene in January 2026; SyncGene keeps operating under its own name.
